A Freeze Dryer Can Freeze Anything, But Dogs and Cats Can’t Eat Everything

Lately, the pet treat industry has started to feel a little… unhinged.

Scroll through your phone, and you’re bombarded with freeze-dried products. Everyone is racing to see who can source the strangest meat or create the most novel shape. But here’s the hard truth: a freeze dryer is a heartless machine. It can freeze anything you put into it—but it doesn’t know that some things are poison to our pets.

The irony is painful. Many of the people frantically pushing these "novelty" products aren't even pet owners. Their understanding of animal nutrition is shockingly poor. For the sake of traffic and hype, they shove unsuitable ingredients into those machines. When unprofessional treats meet pet parents who only care about aesthetics and novelty, it’s the sick puppies and kittens who pay the price.
